The meeting was called to order in due form by President K. Holmes, who also led the opening and closing prayers. The business session was declared open.

Roll Call of Officers

Membership Applications

No new applications were submitted or reviewed.

Reading of Previous Minutes

Secretary J. Schrock read the minutes from the previous meeting (previously emailed).
Motion to accept the minutes as read made by T. Buoscio, seconded by M. Kauffman. Motion passed.

Treasurer’s Report

Treasurer J. DeFrees presented the monthly report.

Motion to accept the Treasurer’s Report, subject to audit, made by L. Zeugner and seconded by T. Buoscio. Motion passed.

Bills

Bills were reviewed and confirmed paid.
Motion to accept the bill report and payments made by L. Zeugner, seconded by T. Buoscio. Motion passed.

IT Report

T. Buoscio reported no current technical issues. He also has a current list of committee and group assignments, which he will email to avoid taking meeting time.

Unfinished Business

May 2024 Fundraising Dinner Planning

1. Itinerary & Setup:
   E. Dir S. Holmes distributed a time chart for the event. Volunteers may assist with setup Friday evening if early access is granted. Tablecloths and linens will be provided by FSO.

2. Photographer:
   M. Kauffman confirmed that Mary will not be available. A new photographer must be found.

3. BoD/Volunteer Arrival Time:
   All staff must report to the venue by 3:00 PM on the day of the event.

4. Weapons Raffle:
   Three raffles with separate colored tickets. Flyers will be taped to jars for clarity. Drawings at 6:30 PM, 8:30 PM, and 9:30 PM. Sellers: M. Kauffman, J. Schlorke, J. Schrock, A. O’Toole.

5. Raffle Tickets:
   H/R Dir J. Schrock will ensure colored tickets are available for all raffles, including 50/50 and silent auctions.

6. Keynote Speaker:
   Cpt. Chad Fleming will speak from 7:30–8:30 PM. Introduced by C. Hendrickson.

7. Opening Program:
   Welcome and introductions by C. Hendrickson and L. Zeugner. VIP invitations to be handled by President Holmes.

8. Food & Beverage:
   Provided by Chubby Trout. Cash/credit bar. LCI or volunteers will serve and bus tables.

9. Hometown Hero Program:
   February winner: Chad (Michael) McKeown. Coins will be presented by M. Kauffman.

10. Live & Silent Auction:
    Live auction after keynote, items include a Trek mountain bike and a quilt. Silent auction announcements around 8:30 PM.

11. Theme:
    This year’s theme is land acquisition for a future FSO property for veteran events, biking, martial arts, and a pavilion.

12. Music & Band:
    Dinner music by Sam Brown. Main band: Doobious.

13. Venue Cleaning:
    E. Dir S. Holmes reminded everyone of our responsibility to clean properly to ensure return of the venue deposit.

14. Wi-Fi Access:
    Limited availability. H/R Dir J. Schrock will check with Dynamic Computer Services for signal boosters or Ethernet options.

15. Volunteer Task List:
    Review of to-do list emailed by J. Schrock. Members were asked to confirm their assignments.

16. Directional Signs:
    Event signage to be placed at key entrance points.

17. Venue Checkout:
    Must be out by 10:00 or 11:00 PM. E. Dir Holmes will confirm.

18. Tickets:
    Ticket packets distributed. Sales at Goshen VFW, Golden Bear Bikes, and George’s Gyros. Keep ticket stub for check-in.

19. Sponsorships:
    President Holmes and E. Dir Holmes reviewed sponsorships. Members were asked to update S. Holmes with any new leads.

20. Challenge Coins:
    New coins were shown—50 ordered. Past years’ coins may be bundled into collectible sets.

21. Scheduling Conflict:
    T. Buoscio may not be available for the event due to his son’s competition in East Chicago.

22. Coin Pouches & Merchandise:
    A. O’Toole will produce 100 coin pouches. Also producing custom shot and rocks glasses with branch logos.

New Business

• Podcast Computer Repair:
  President Holmes presented a $300 repair bill.
  Motion to pay made by J. Schrock, seconded by T. Buoscio. Motion passed.

Good of the Order

1. Resume Writing Classes:
   Dates at the Goshen VFW: April 9, July 9, October 8 at 6:30 PM. Coordinated by J. Schrock.

2. Mountain Bike Rides:
   D. Mickelson suggested scheduling weekly rides—weekday evenings or early Saturdays. L. Zeugner to publish schedule once finalized.

3. Softball Team Discussion:
   Team fees and scheduling discussed. League fee was $750, and games start April 22. After discussion, it was agreed to delay participation until next year due to low player commitment.
