We are less than a week away from the dinner at the Goshen VFW Post 985 (1201 W. Pike St, Goshen, IN) and we could not be more excited! Our yearly benefit will be a hoot and we are excited to host you all! From 1700 to 2000 nonstop fun. Supper will be a fantastic spread by Chef Tony Alberry, followed by dessert and coffee. Dinner music will be played by Mr. Sam Brown; while, dance music will be provided by the band Just Cause. Our speaker this year will be none other than Mr. Casey Hendrickson, the afternoon host of 95.3 MNC's drive home! Like I said: it's going to be a ton of fun!
It is titled "Remember" because it is up to us that we do not forget those that come before us. This year you may have noticed that the background image was of the raising of the flag at Iwo Jima. Every year we put a famous photo in the background of our posters as a remembrance of those that served in war and combat. We can not forget what they did for us; otherwise, we will be doomed to repeat what they did and grateful as we are we want their sacrifice to stay that way. Those that have seen war do not want anyone else to have to see it.
Today is Memorial Day, please remember to stop and say a prayer for those that lost their lives in combat! Leave a memory of your favorite loved ones somewhere and be happy that they sacrificed for us. This is Memorial Day!
