November 6, 2022

Saturday, November 5th, 2022

The business meeting was held at the Holmes home in Kiser Dr,Elkhart Ind. The meeting started at 12 PM (noon) and the meeting was opened in due form by President K Holmes.

President K Holmes gave the opening (and closing) prayer.

President K Holmes declared the business session open.

1) Roll call of Officers: Completed by Secretary Jeff Schrock.

2) Reading of Membership Applications: No Report(s)

3) Reading of the minutes: Secretary J Schrock read (emailed)the minutes from the last meeting, and asked if there were any corrections or amendments. Seeing none E. Dir S Holmes made a motion to accept the minutes as read. V.P. F Schlorke seconded the motion and the motion passed.

4) Treasurers Report: H/R Dir J Schrock made a motion to suspend the reading of the income/expenses. E Dir S Holmes seconded the motion, and the motion passed.

5) Bills: E Dir S Holmes made a motion to suspend the reading of the bills. Media Coord L Zeugner seconded the motion, and the motion passed.

Unfinished Business: 1) President K Holmes brought up the meeting w/Kevin Deary from the Goshen Boys/Girls Club. In going through the notes, some notations were not clear. A lengthy discussion ensued. Several notable items were earmarked. A) some photos on the website were of people at the Fundraising Dinner, doing shots. While it showed good comradery; it also could give the impression of abusing alcohol. These should be taken down, so as not to give a bad impression to potential donors. B) In either the Mission Statement or an opening paragraph on the website, some of the explanation seemed as though it was harsh on groups. This should be toned down, to show how we can help – not potentially criticize. C)The Mission Statement seemed to be very detailed and lengthy. It should be whittled down to something brief but explains the basic concepts of our core vision. 2) President Holmes then went over each Director’s One-Drive sign-in procedures. Each Director was assisted with log-ins and passwords. Then a not-so-brief tutorial was given to them. This endeavor was eventually accomplished w/the direct support of our “IT” department Jeff Tapp. 3) H/R Dir J Schrock was asked what he had found out, regarding D & O Insurance. H/R Dir J Schrock explained that he had been in contact w/Denny Weldy. He had sent an application to be filled out and returned. He had not given a quote, but it is thought that it won’t be more than a couple of hundred dollars a year (for FSO & Directors, etc.). H/R Dir J Schrock was asked to complete the application and sign it, on behalf of the BoD and then return it. 4) H/R Dir & Secretary J Schrock up-loaded several files onto the One-Drive, as did several other Directors.

New Business: No Report(s)

Good of the Order: The BoD spent part of the afternoon watching the Army v Air Force CIC (Commander in Chief) game. The Air Force emerged (naturally) as the victor. Best of luck next year Army!

Next Meeting: Saturday, 10 December, 3 PM (time pending) atthe Holmes household (pending).

President K Holmes asked if there was any further business. Seeing none, H/R Dir J Schrock made a motion to adjourn the meeting and V.P. F Schlorke seconded the motion. The motion passed.

President K Holmes gave the closing prayer and the meeting was adjourned.

J Schrock

Secretary
